Dear Sis,

These are the last of the photos I took in San Francisco. It rained the whole morning and then cleared up right before sunset and before we got to the Golden Gate Bridge. The sky was filled with different shades of blue, with some lavenders and slices of pink. Ron and I took a few self-portraits with our phones and it was so cold that when I shot an Instax photo, it wouldn’t develop. I had to stick it in my jacket, close to my body and only then did an image start to appear.

After Sunset we drove to the Mission and met with a few friends. I remember being in the area back in 2002 (?). Some little stores Lauren and I would stop in, were still in business. Dog Eared Books, Aquarius Records, a little breakfast place on the corner, and a cute clothing boutique where I discovered Mum. We had drinks at Baretta and then walked to Bar Tartine where we had dinner. It was really good and we ended up staying there till we were the last people in the restaurant. Good conversation and company can do that.

Anyway, I’m still saving the lighthouse adventure for you! We need to somehow make it there, and soon.

xoxo
