I’m still going through the Catalina trip photos from a few weeks back. This was of our little hotel room, which was super cute and cozy. We stayed at the Zane Grey Pueblo hotel. The view immediately sold me and we booked it right away. The hotel is perched up top a side mountain, overlooking all of Avalon. You get the best views and it’s extremely peaceful. We even seen a deer (right outside our window) on the last night there, I was lucky enough to snap a photo.

Here’s a bit of history on Zane Grey the author + filmmaker. The hotel was actually once his home, and being there, I could just imagine him writing old westerns from the patio, watching clouds and fog roll away over the mountain tops in the mornings.

Also, did you know there’s BUFFALO in Catalina??! I didn’t get a chance to see them but there are 250 buffalo that were brought over in the 1920’s for Zane Grey’s movie version of his book “The Vanishing American”. I guess when they realized how much it was going to cost to transport the buffalo back, they just left them there. There are buffalo tours which range from $75-$99. That was a little out of our price range but hopefully one day…

Haha, no, I’m sorry… I should have specified which camera… But you got it anyway, I was asking about the Polaroid in the photo. I’ve been looking to get a Landcamera but there are so many different model numbers… Not sure which one to get. Are the batteries hard to find for the one you have?
