My friends were in town for a few days and wanted to do some shopping, so I took my little powershot with me and set off on a little tag-along mission with them. On the first day, we drove down to the Grove and ate lunch, then walked down Melrose and visited Wasteland. I found a cute plaid Lacoste long sleeve, for under $20! Oh, joy! Other than that, there wasn’t anything else happening and we just hung out and talked a while before going home.

For my own really selfish purposes, I wanted to stop off at the Mohawk General Store to drool over these Rachel Comey shoes that I really really want but can’t currently afford. I love the Mohawk General Store. Love love love.

Yesterday we started the day earlier, and my friends already had the Camarillo outlet mall in mind. It was a long drive but I didn’t mind. It was such a pretty day outside! There were little patches of puffy white clouds scattered across the sky and the hills were bright green from the recent rain. I was loving it.

Did a lot of walking and shopping and I was fighting the worst migraine headache. I’m not sure if it was from Jamie’s cigarette smoke or spring allergies. Also, my friend was doggy sitting a little Chihuahua that hated me. It kept staring back at me from the front seat of the rental car and barking at me. They say animals can sense evil, but c’mon. ME? I don’t think so… (?)

It was a nice few days, overall. I could feel the work just piling up from taking 2 days off, but I’m so happy I did. It felt nice to get out of the apartment and away from the day-to-day routine, to hang out with old friends.

Sidenote: I have a bunch of photos just adding up on a memory card and know that i’ve totally been slacking on updates! Will share some photos soon.
