From the last morning in our old apartment.
Happy Friday!
I’ve been playing around with Spotify a lot, lately. I know a lot of people aren’t on it, so I put up a mix here. October Mix.
I’m really looking forward to getting the apartment completely unpacked and cleaned. We also have some stuff at the old apartment that still needs to be moved over! This move is really forcing me to get rid of old articles of clothing and tiny hoarded items such as keychains, pencils, erasers, stickers, headbands from 1999, glasses, makeup and the list goes on. I just feel like I grow emotionally attached to certain items from my past, which makes parting from them, really difficult. I’m sure this is how extreme hoarding begins, so goodbye movie ticket stubs from 2008, Griffith Observatory passes from 2007 and old rusty Forever 21 necklaces from 2001. It’s time to move on and keep the memories in my head.
Have a great weekend!
Oh, I love these pictures, Leila. Good luck moving the rest of your stuff, and I hope it doesn’t take too long to get settled in. XO
thank you thank you, kim! hope you’re all moved in! : )
I’ll be moving into my new house in a couple of months and I know I’ll have to part with a lot of unnecessary hoardings as well. I probably should start getting rid of them now! haha.
good luck with moving. i’m still finding random little things that i should probably get rid of! it’s amazing how much stuff a person can accumulate in a matter of months!
It’s funny how many things one keeps because of emotional attachment. It is very hard to dispose of them. I listened to your mix and I liked it, especially Kimmi In a Rice Field. It’s now in my playlist :) thanks! Good luck with getting settled in.
thanks, jeannette : ) i love that song! have you tried spotify? my friend turned me onto it and now i’m addicted!
it’s so hard to let go of certain things. they’re almost like little time machines :)
that might be the only thing i love about the moving process: purging :)
