A couple of birds enjoying the sunset // A view of Los Angeles from afar

Hello. How was your weekend? I had a relaxing/lazy Saturday in the apt, watching the last of Mad Men (Season 5) and finishing up some work. Easter Sunday was spent in Santa Monica riding bikes along the beach. Cruising along the bike path reminded me of when my mom would take me to ride my little Care Bear bicycle down by Pearl Harbor, when I was a little girl. She’d walk along side of me and we’d pass the electric plant and ice ponds and stop with our little brown nets w/ wooden handles to catch fan tailed guppies and sword tails. Ah, those were the days. The simpler days : )

I took some photos but decided to try out a different lab this time around. It may take a week or so to get the images back, so for now i’ll just share a few photos from the past few months.

Plane watching from last weekend

Polaroid SX-70 | 600 Film (I’m running out) | Sunday’s Party

This weekend was a really good one. It was the first time in a really long time, Ron and I got to spend time together with NO plans. We ended up having lunch at a little deli and plane watching (while drinking mojitos) by the airport on Saturday. These Polaroids are from our mini party on Sunday. We made tacos and I made fresh guacamole. The avocados weren’t so soft though, I miss the one’s we’d have in Hawai’i! Soft and buttery…Mmm!

I took some film, finally. Will try and develop soon.

It’s finally Friday!

I had a good morning. Met with Karleen for coffee and brunch and then took a walk alone in the sun. The weather is really nice today– 80′s with a nice breeze. Hope this warmth keeps up for the weekend!

Still not sure what’s in store for Saturday or Sunday, but I do know we’re making tacos on one of those nights. And shooting some film.

Listening to the cardigans on repeat, today.

Today has been a little cold, but I opened all the windows anyway to let in a breeze. It’s nice, actually.

I’m dreaming of the weekend and have been checking the weather like a crazy person. It seems as though every weekend I have open, it rains! So far, the weather is calling for 80 degrees and sunny, so i’ll keep hoping and praying it stays that way.

For the past few weeks, i’ve been on a weird grapefruit kick. So when I came across this, it caught my attention almost immediately! Vodka + grapefruit? Sounds good to me.

I’m also really excited for this coming weekend. We have NO plans!! Except to just have fun and take some photos. I can’t wait.

I had a fun weekend. We met up with Ron’s brothers + sister in-law for drinks at his brother’s hotel (he was in town for the weekend). I can’t stop thinking about the hotel’s french fries: Truffle, Sweet Potato, Creole-Heirloom Ketchup, Curry Aïoli, Blue Cheese. My friend Lauren and I always talk about going on a French Fry tour of LA- visiting the different restaurants and sampling all their fries. Sounds like a good time to me.
