The rest of the Instax shots.
Drove down to the city for a day. We crossed the golden gate after the rain stopped and sky cleared and watched the sunset from the other side. The lookout was extra crowded. People were everywhere and cars were circling the lot in search of parking spaces. I seen a bunch of guys taking pictures of themselves jumping, with their arms out + bridge in back of them. My hands were turning numb from the wind whipping against me. My hands, my feet, my cheeks, my arms: all frozen! We stood around taking photos of the bay and golden light for a while and then needed to head back to meet with friends.
My film (35mm) is at the lab getting scanned right now. I want to see just how big the difference is between my negative scanner and the pro lab scanner. I know there’s a huge difference but still curious. We’ll see tomorrow! My eyes are getting really heavy right now, I should sleep a little.
Have a good Tuesday!
I’m back! We had a nice little vacation and Thanksgiving with family down in San Jose. We ate dinner on Thursday, visited Napa Valley on Friday and took a short trip to San Francisco on Saturday. I wish we had more time to explore and visit friends!
These photos are from today, on the drive back home. The sun was setting and everything was just really pretty and perfect. A good moment to look back on.
*I took only two film cameras on my trip this time around, instead of lugging a whole bag full of cameras: Instax and my Canon 500. Quite the challenge, but I really enjoyed the simplicity.
Looking back at the last trip we took in July.
2 more days till Thanksgiving, so here’s a list i’ll just bunch together.
Things I’m thankful for (in photo form):
I rescanned a bunch of photos (without dust correction, obviously) taken when Ron and I drove down to Santa Maria. Can’t remember when exactly that was.
This week is Thanksgiving! What are you thankful for? I never thought of making a list, but maybe i’ll have to do that in a post before Thursday- I need some time to think about what i’ll put on it.
We’re also driving North for Thanksgiving, to spend it with my brother and sister in-law. I’m excited for a change in scenery, and to use my new camera a little more! I’m so excited to eat good food, spend a relaxing night drinking wine, playing games, visiting wineries, friends, and the city. Two more days! Oh yes, and i’ll be back with a list of some sort…
Have a good night.
The rest of the test shots. I even tried out the self-timer in the first photo.
I decided to throw all the remaining photos together, before the weekend.
I checked the weather and it calls for rain Saturday & Sunday, so I’m trying to figure out what we can do. If I had it my way, I’d click my heels and transfer myself over to one of these abandoned theme parks. Seems like an interesting place to explore.
Have a great weekend, wherever you are!
Marigolds, my kitchen window and a glass of…..?? I don’t remember
A new camera came in the mail today, I’m planning on taking it (and one other camera) with me on my next trip. Trying to minimize the load of cameras I bring on weekends and vacations. I always bring around 5 of them and end up using only 1 or 2. I guess it’s just comforting to know you can put your hand into a magic bag and pull out whatever you need.
These shots above are test shots from around the apt.
I’m working on a few little projects with my sister in Hawai’i. I’m excited to play around with random ideas and have fun with it all, instead of over-thinking each shot- something I tend to do quite often.
Well, have a good day!
Today: A mini globe to add to the bookshelf | New jacket from the Rose Bowl | Grilled chicken, bacon, lettuce, tomato and avocado sandwich for lunch.
Dirty Beaches – True Blue
On Mondays, I find myself hoping the days pass as quickly as possible, but then it’s Friday and I can’t believe another week has past.
I’m liking these photos by Carl Kleiner for Ikea’s cookbook, which is unfortunately only available in Sweden.
Been another busy week, just trying to get a bunch of things done. I’m looking forward to the weekend as usual and going to the flea market. I haven’t been to a flea market in a while and I’m missing it. Hoping to find a little table for the kitchen and a few other things that will take up space in the apt. Can’t wait! I also finally found a throw pillow, but it’s a little out of my price range.
