Made a bunch of photoshop actions today. I’m trying to figure out a way to save them each as an .atn file. Usually I just create them for me to use, but was going to send them to my sister and don’t know how to export. Used them on these photos above, I wanted something really subtle.

I was curious to know what you think about photoshop actions. Do you support photographers that buy and use actions that other people make? Does it matter to you? Or do you believe in creating them yourself? I had this conversation with a friend yesterday and it just got me wondering. Personally, it’s not a really big deal whether it’s bought or made. If you’re able to create something/anything and make it your very own, I find that so amazing.

On another note: The weather is lovely today. White clouds and blue skies, basically the complete opposite of yesterday’s thunder, rain and lightning. The weather is so weird.

A Song

Sorry for the lack of posts, I’ve been a little swamped with things going on over here. I’ve said it a million times but a vacation would be so amazing right now. One day, I hope. I’m thinking positive thoughts.

-Finally fixed my sandals I got from the Rose Bowl Flea Market (photo above). Ron punched a new hole through the leather for me.
-Love this dress
-This song by Blonde Redhead

1. Film, gifted from my sister 2. A view of the lake we got engaged on.

-I finally found boots. They’re in my size, they’re the color i’ve been looking for and they’re flat! All three are extremely hard to find for me since I’m a size 5.

-105 degrees today! Our A/C was running all day, which is rare for us.

-Tacos again for dinner. I’ve been eating Mexican food a lot lately.

-Shot a wedding this past weekend, hopefully will get a preview up soon.

Have a good Monday, I’m getting ready to brave another 105 degree day!

Been working on trying to document the little things in life that I probably won’t remember 10-20 years from now. Things like the plus sign knobs in the tub and the orange towels that go perfect with the blue light in the evenings, even the way the light in the bathroom looks from the living room- so white and illuminated and fresh. I love these little pieces of home.

Can’t believe it’s already Friday! Where does the time go?! I’m shooting a wedding tomorrow and am still recovering from this sickness I caught. Trying to pump myself full of vitamins and water before then. Checked the weather report and it said LA is expecting 95 degree weather on Saturday! Hello there, Summer, I thought you were gone.

Things
——-
-Conroy & Wilcox diamond ring. I think it’s just so soft and lovely as an engagement ring!
-Satomi Kawakita ring. this one I love, but my size is sold out : (
-Talk Talk – I Believe In You (Did I post this before? It’s quite possible)

Have a good weekend!

This is from Sunday. We made some cold drinks at sunset, cooked dinner and had some wine. Monday I woke up with a sore throat, body aches and a fever and have been in bed ever since. I actually migrated from the bed to the couch and watched Spirited Away on DVD. Hopefully this goes away soon, I have a wedding to shoot on Saturday! Gonna try and drown out the sickness with water and sleep and hope it works.

More photos from a day at the beach. I didn’t cross process these, they just ended up being really vibrant.

I had a relaxing weekend.

Unpacked, picked up a floor lamp, organized all of my little ‘things’ into containers, took a walk with Ron and had a big breakfast – Eggs, bacon, buttermilk pancakes and home fried potatoes, cooked spinach and mushroom stuffed ravioli w/ pesto, drank white wine and listened to music at sunset, hung out and relaxed on the couch while watching birds and butterflies pass by. It was the first time we actually got a chance to relax and it felt GOOD!

Hope everyone had a great weekend.

It was the perfect day for the beach:

Reading books on blankets and giant rocks, picking shells, watching the tide rush up quickly over my toes, feeling the strong gusts of wind whip through my hair, a slight sunburn on my nose, little trails to the edge of sandy cliffs, old wooden staircases to the shore. It was one of those days that I like to reach back into my memory for, when it’s cold and gloomy.

I have a few more of these to share, but am still trying to unpack these boxes. It seems never ending! Enjoy a great weekend, I will try and do the same.
