Ron | Polaroid

Life has been crazy lately. My sister visited for a week and then somehow overnight, everything piled up and exploded onto my desk. If I owe you an email, I’m really sorry, I’m trying to get to everything this weekend.

I finally booked my hotel in Portland. Aug 31 – Sept 6! So excited! Can’t wait to be in the forest shooting Ashley’s wedding and exploring somewhere new.

I was googling around for a song (can’t remember which one) and stumbled onto this Mirah remix. At first I thought it sounded a bit off, but now I love it and can’t stop playing it.

My sister’s been here since Tuesday. We went and ate deep dish pizzas at a little restaurant near my apartment.

After pizza, we drove for about an hour (getting lost on the way) and found a little cliff overlooking the water. We sat out on the edge, talking, laughing at silly things and watching the surfers and small boats below. Little squirrels were running everywhere digging holes, and an older couple in matching khaki shorts sat off in the distance, but other than that, we were the only ones out there.

Quiet. Nice.

Film | 35mm | Valentine’s Day

I haven’t been taking many photos lately, just a few here and there w/ my iPhone, but that’s about it.

This tiny break has been much needed.

Film | 35mm

Last Sunday we checked out a few places for an engagement shoot (so excited for it) and I shot a test roll.

This song has been on repeat, lately.

35mm | Film

Explored a new beach and watched the planes take off. The weather was a little gloomy, but sometimes I like it that way.

On a warm day in January, we walked all the way out to the water’s edge and watched the sunset. It was the first time I went out that far, the cold and wind usually kept me at the front of the beach, so it was a nice change.

Hundreds of birds were sitting out on the rocks and would stand up and circle fishing boats as they sailed in.

Frizzy ocean hair.

You get a really good view of planes taking off from LAX, here. Ron and I would take turns guessing which plane would appear over the little mountain.

Film | 35mm | Happy Friday!

Heading to check out a location for engagement photos this weekend, excited to get out and explore some options.

Have a great weekend!

Film | 35mm | Winter

Pier sunsets, churros, photobooth photos, low tide, watching the waves from way up, ferris wheels and roller coasters, 75 degree days in January, long walks and people watching.
